A failing catalytic converter typically produces a rattling sound — often described as shaking a can of loose metal — and will trigger a check engine light. It can also cause significant power loss and may cause your vehicle to fail an emissions test.

Our technicians will diagnose whether your catalytic converter is truly failing or whether the issue is actually an oxygen sensor, which is a much less expensive fix. We won’t recommend a catalytic converter replacement until we’ve confirmed it’s the source of the problem.
